Designated Range Safety Officers Are:
Club Members who complete the KDFGC Range Safety Officer Course.
Club ambassadors who represent KDFGC.
Like Minded individuals with a shared interest in promoting and maintaining KDFGC safety, and stewardship, through observation, prevention and education.

This program is not intended to alter or replace the duties of the Range Officer.

Range Officer

• Oversees all activities on a range, during any shooting activity.
• Provides direction to everyone participating in that activity.  
• Ensures that all range safety rules are followed during that shooting session.

Designated Range Safety Officer 

• Monitors all club activities while visiting KDFGC and/ or participating in his, or her, discipline of choice.
• Identify/ report suspicious activity, inappropriate or dangerous behavior, environmental or structural hazards.
• Prevent a potentially dangerous situation from occurring through observation, intervention and education.
• The presence of the DRSO (s) may assist in deterring the intentional destruction of club property through "observing and reporting" suspicious behavior. 

1. Volunteer position.
2. No schedule, no fixed shifts. Your oversight happens organically, while you are practicing or visiting the club.
3. You are not “on patrol”, you are simply observing the activity around you, during your visit.
