In early 2022, the KDFGC Governance Committee came together to begin the process of reviewing and modernizing our bylaws in order to bring them into alignment with the BC Societies Act, modern organizational practices, and KDFGC policies and procedures.   The proposed bylaws reflect KDFGC’s business purpose as outlined in our constitution and will move the club into the 21st century.  These bylaws have been reviewed by legal counsel and are in compliance with the BC Societies Act. 

In order to enact these updated bylaws, as per the Societies Act, we require a special resolution.

Notice is hereby given of a Special General Meeting to members in good standing of the Kelowna & District Fish & Game Club.  The meeting will be held at the clubhouse at 4041 Casorso Road, Kelowna on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, at 6:30pm.   Doors open at 6:00pm.

This special meeting has been called for the purpose of asking members to approve a new set of bylaws that will modernize and bring our bylaws into alignment with the BC Societies Act, modern organizational practices, and KDFGC policies and procedures.

MOTION:  Be it resolved that the members of the Kelowna & District Fish & Game Club authorize and adopt the proposed bylaws, KDFGC Bylaws (2024-03-19).pdf. 

The proposed bylaws, while still in alignment with our constitution, are a significant update to the previous bylaws, and we encourage you to read them thoroughly in advance of the meeting.  KDFGC Bylaws (2024-03-19) and Summary of Changes are attached. In the interest of efficiency and in order to enable us to be ready to answer your questions effectively, I would appreciate it if you could send your questions, in advance, to secretary@kdfgc.org.
