TOURNAMENT:   KELOWNA Monthly 1500 Classification Matches

RANGE LOCATION:  4041 Casorso Rd.,  Kelowna, B.C.

TOURNAMENT OPEN TO:  Members of the KDFGC 1500, who are current members  of the  C.P.C.A.  (CPCA Memberships will not be available for purchase at the Range on Tournament Day).  Please purchase direct from CPCA well in advance of these matches.

PURPOSE:  The Tournament is being conducted as an Invitational Match that restricts attendance to only KDFGC 1500 members to enable them to attain their C.P.C.A. shooting classifications.

MATCH REGISTRATION:  Pre-registration only – in advance by online application via KDFGC Website – Go To  >>>   https://www.kdfgc.org     Scroll down To Events, Locate Match Date on Calendar, Click on Match – that will take you to Registration / Event Information Details.  Click on Register – takes you to Email Input Page – complete - Click on Next, takes you to the full registration page – requires all fields to be completed – Click on Next – will take you to the Payment Screen where you have the Match Selection, pick one,  and the method of payment       ie:  VISA, Mastercard, American Express or VISA Debit.   Complete and Pay.   

Registration Deadline the Friday of match week by 8:00 PM.

CPCA MBRSHPs:  All competitors must produce a valid 2023 CPCA membership card at the Match sign in.   These will not be available to purchase at the match.  

MATCH TYPE:  This is an unsquadded individual match.  Competitors will be assigned a relay and target position upon arrival at the range.

RANGE:  The competition will take place on the KDFGC 1500 RANGE.  The range is a North facing 50 Yd range, with overhead baffles.  The targets are stationary - with the shooter moving to the required distances from the target.  All firing lines are open to the weather, come prepared.  Equipment preparation area is covered.

RULES:  Current C.P.C.A. Rules shall govern this competition. See the CPCA website:    https://cpca-ppc.org

COURSE OF FIRE:   All Courses of Fire as per CPCA Rules.  Matches to be fired in this Tournament will be the Revolver 1500, Semi-Auto 1500 & Optical Sight 1500  [ competitor’s choice of which 1500 to fire. ] also be offered will be Duty Pistol 1500 if there is interest.

ENTRY FEES:            1 st Individual 1500 Match (Revolver, Semi-Auto, Optical or Duty Pistol) will cost $20.00.  A 2 nd 1500 – if selected – is included in the noted match fee.

ORDER OF FIRE:     Matches 1 thru 5 (1500) will be shot consecutively, with target scoring being done on the line between Matches.

RANGE OPENS:      At  09:30 AM, for Match sign in.  There is a requirement that all shooters assist with range set up / tear down, and assist with various match duties when called upon.

ENTRIES CLOSE:      Friday of match week by 8:00 PM.

ENTRY LIMIT:          12 Competitors

FIRING STARTS:     10:00 am 

CLASSIFICATIONS:   CPCA Classifications will be used.  Those without a current Classification will shoot as an Unclassified Competitor and in the Grand Master Class for the duration of the Tournament.  At the conclusion, for those shooting as Unclassified, the Match Referee can issue a Temporary Classification Card based on score shot,

TARGETS:                 WA 1500 Full Size Targets, Centres & Patches will be used with replacement at the discretion of the Match Director.  1500 Matches are shot on 6 Targets, which could include centres.

SCORING:                 Competitors will score the target of the shooter on their right, the shooter on the far right will score the target of the shooter on target one.  The scoring will be done on the Line after each Match.  Scoring will be in accordance with CPCA rules.  A competitor may use a scoring overlay or magnifier for scoring a target.  A scoring plug may not be used by a competitor. 

MATCH REFEREE:  The Official Match Referee is Dennis Krause.  At his discretion he may use a scoring plug to determine the shot value of a challenged round – once the competitor has initiated a scoring challenge in accordance with CPCA Rules.

CHALLENGE FEE:    A challenge fee of $2.00 per round will be charged to a competitor initiating a challenge.  The challenge procedure will follow the method outlined in the CPCA Rules.

PRIZES/AWARDS:   There are no prizes or awards given out at this events.

RESULTS:                  Match results will be forwarded to CPCA for statistical & classification purposes.  They will be posted on the CPCA website.  If a competitor is also a current member of the WA 1500, they will be reported and posted in a similar fashion.
